SINGING LESSONS

Singing is very easy. You just have to breathe the right way, use a few muscles, open your mouth, and it comes out!
But when you don’t really know how to breathe, or which muscles to use, or how to open your mouth, it comes out, yes, but not always the way you hear it in your head.
All of this can be learned, of course. My technique is precise, imaginative, sometimes difficult, it requires practice and patience, but it is very conclusive. Not one student has left my class after the first hour without having made enormous progress. In one hour.
But like everything else, it takes work and discipline, it’s a long-term job to become a master of one’s voice and I like to take part in this challenge that so many people take on.
Let’s not forget that we sing to feel good, to free ourselves, to express ourselves, to blossom, to surpass ourselves… My classes are always full of humor, we don’t learn how to save lives, we just want to sing well and have fun.

I listen to my students, I push them when necessary, I also comfort them, listen to them and encourage them, and when it works, it’s magic, it’s happiness and proud in my class.

One hour a week to take care of yourself is not a luxury, it’s common sense!

ORATORY COACHING

Glossophobia is the fear of speaking in public, in front of a large or small group. It is a common and widespread fear, up to 75% of the population feels a certain degree of fear to speak in public’ Wikipedia

There are a lot of ‘tricks’ to overcome your fear of public speaking, be very well prepared and have rehearsed your text at loud while visualizing a packed room, look over people’s heads in front of you, hold an object in your hand like a pen or a pointer, hydrate yourself before and during the speech…a lot of ‘tricks’.
Yes, these tips are useful, because in fact this feeling, this fear, is stage fright. The more public speaking you do, the more you get used to it and the less scared you get. You even start to like it.

So, how can I help the speaker-instructor-student with low confidence?

First of all, you have to know how to control your breathing, not let stress overwhelm you and pinch your throat until you can’t hear your voice.

Second, you have to place your voice. Like an actor or singer, the person speaking in public must be able to project his or her voice without shouting and thus avoid damaging the vocal cords or having a fluctuating voice. Therefore, learning to use strong support muscles that allow a good projection will be very useful.

Thirdly, we must work on the flow, the music of spoken phrases, respect punctuation, give intonations to transmit information and messages.

Fourthly, the body must be mobile and flexible, the speaker must use his body language, use the space allotted to him to talk to the listeners, and not trample on or get stuck in place.

Finally, the above points should be added together to create a melodious choreography. Yes, your speech should be approached like a dance or singing number, you need to know where you are going and have rehearsed well before the D day to make it sound natural. And the more you rehearse this number with a coach who will advise you, the more comfortable and confident you will be.
